- Candy
- Baked goods
- Frozen yogurt (because I like to top it with junk)
- Ice cream
I was supposed to get up at 5:00 am to run on the treadmill, but I got about three hours of sleep last night. They were working on a massive, multi-year construction project right outside our house, and the trucks were particularly loud last night, & kept waking up the kids. No fun. I am currently having green tea & feeling like a zombie. I *will* run today, so I'll need to be creative about when I fit that in.
You know who else enjoyed candy this weekend? These little cuties. I kept trying to take pictures, and mouths were always full! :-) Note the chocolate on Sam's face, and Nick's chewing.
How about you? Have you ever given up sugar? How long did it take before you stopped craving it?
Ugh, i don't do good on three hours of sleep, hope you get better sleep tonight. I gave up sugar in january and did really good, i should do it again. i think I am pretty over sweetened right now, and not in a good way!
ReplyDeleteI'm so tired today, that I'm glad I already blogged about giving up sugar. Otherwise, I surely would have eaten sugar all day long to get me through! Public shame for the win.
Delete3 hours of sleep is MISERABLE. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that!
ReplyDeleteI probably need to cut out sugar too. I'm sure my jeans would thank me.
I will be doing the biggest happy dance ever when they finish the construction. Some nights it doesn't bother us, but other nights? You just lay awake & listen to the sound of construction and dump trucks right outside your window. It's . . . awesome. ;)
DeleteI am so on the same wavelength with you on the sugar wean. I had a rough sugary weekend that led to too many epiphanies. But I plan to go gradually...
ReplyDeletePS - you won my clif bar giveaway, but i still need your address so I can mail your prize to you!!!! email me khourianya@gmail.com
That is awesome - I never win anything. :-) I just emailed you!
DeleteI want to go with a moderate approach, but right now, I'm having such bad cravings that I'm trying to break that first. good luck to you!
Don't make any serious decisions on little sleep... Haha
ReplyDeleteMiserable!
I eat so well except for chocolate. I did the Whole30 challenge and it was at about 24 days when I finally didn't need massive snacking. It's definitely a struggle, good luck to you!! I totally understand the tired mom, feeling chunky in my jeans feeling! Good news, the kids grow up. Bad news, the kids grow up.
So true - I'm thinking I'm going to opt for sleep over running tonight. Such a battle.
DeleteI like chocolate, but not as much as I like Starburst & Skittles. 24 DAYS?! You're killing me. :-) I'm just getting over the sleep deprived phase, but I would like to stop feeling chunky in my jeans. That would be some serious progress. :-)
I haven't ever given up sugar... but I do eat a lot less sweets than I used to eat.
ReplyDeleteYour kids are adorable! :)
